We are a Buenos Aires-based Architecture and Design practice founded by architect Karina Kreth in 2009. The firm operates with a multidisciplinary team made up of experienced professionals from a wide-range of disciplines such as architecture, graphic design, art, carpentry and researchers.
We work with clients from both the private and public sectors allowing us operate across a variety of scales and typologies. We strive to transform, design, and build contemporary places to live, enjoy and work.
We think of Architecture as a cultural discipline with a practical purpose. We embrace our role in the constant transformation of the pre-existing. We design, project and conceptualize not only space, but also relationships. We focus on the human and urban dialogues that arise in the architectural practice.
Our Studio culture is open and dynamic. We are structured as a laboratory; starting from a place of not-knowing, removing assumptions, and gathering both objective and subjective data to put forward unexpected best proposals. At the center of a network of specialists in different fields, we coordinate expert and stakeholder visions through the lens of innovation and design, while negotiating the manifold factors that both constrain and define architecture.
We observe contemporary conventions to design spaces that address them consciously and emotionally. We understand art as an engagement tool that encourages thought and discussion. We work closely with clients and collaborators to foster new ideas, establish a common vision, and focus strategies for an enriched design process. We create a forum aimed towards defining a vision that respects the social, personal, and professional needs of each space, project, and client.

_ Vision, Identity and Design process Consultation_ We design, think  and re-evaluate issues regarding the environment we live in and the projects we plan to build. Karina’s strengths are the conceptual development of a project and her visionary design skills. We are curators for imagined and materialized spaces. Architecture, art, design, and trades learned on our journeys and research are our main tools. Drawing from the culture of Architecture, we generate a powerful, conscious, friendly setting based on our contextual understanding. We work directly with clients and sometimes for other architecture studios or developers, always collaborating towards efficient resolutions.

_ Architecture design_ We approach every project by investigating its needs and wants through the lens of architecture and design in order to propose new perspectives and unique experiences. Our practice aims to bridge gaps created in the urban space, be it in the private/public spheres, inter-generationally, or in the social fabric. We pay heed to historical and environmental factors, applying our architectural, design, and investigative resources to resolve a vast range of projects in an accountable manner. 
We are well known for our Turnkey services: starting from scratch, to final details in spaces that are ready to be inhabited. Often collaboration begins before a new real estate purchase, as Kreth can visit prospective properties with clients to understand possible budgets and whether a space is adaptable to the client’s vision. Once a space is selected Estudio Karina Kreth can coordinate a team of experts to guarantee the comfort and security of a Turnkey solution.

_ Project Management and Supervision_ This administrative task involves supervising all aspects of the project and ensuring that it is carried out as planned and in accordance with established provisions. In this role the Studio establishes direct contact and supervision over the contractor and/or construction company.

_ Interior Architecture _ Interior Architecture balances the art and science of designing an interior space as a receptacle for life. Using the tools of architecture and building, we chart spaces that emerge from our consulting process and/or all-encompassing design projects

_ Interior Design_ Interior design begins with an already built environment. It is the continuation of the design process towards the culmination of a vision shared with clients. No matter the extent of our involvement in the design process, the Interior Design phase is always a moment for fine-tuning a project to the ultimate needs of the space and its inhabitants. This is the moment that crystalizes the scene of each assembled atmosphere. 

_ Furniture Design_ This defines us. More than 70% of the furniture found in our projects is of our own design. This is where we play, grow and learn about human behavior. It’s the lab zone of our studio.

_ Creative executions_ We are a dynamic firm made of up of individuals with diverse skill sets and with long-standing relationships with trusted collaborators. This multiplicity allows us to handle project executions across scales and typologies balancing conceptual thinking and pragmatism.

_ Project Set-Up_ We are relentless in the achievement of our vision. Through every phase of the design process we prioritize the needs and desires of our clients. We construct atmospheres that balance silence and dynamism and consider each space as a narrative scene. We think about about how our clients live and how they want to live in order to present them with a final result that is ready to be inhabited and experienced.
